SWEET ORANGE OIL - HEALTH HAZARD IINFORMATION
Material Type Cold pressed fruit oil. Liquid may irritate eyes and skin. Liquid may cause dermatitis.
Primary Entry Routes Inhalation, skin, eye, ingestion
Avoid strong acids and bases (volatile in the presence). Handle similar to d-limonene citrus oils and limonene may be moderate irritant to skin, eyes, throat and respiratory passages. Prolonged or repeated exposure can cause drying, defatting, and dermatitis.
SWEET ORANGE OIL - EMERGENCY FIRST AID PROCEDURES
Inhalation Exposure Remove person to ventilated area. If symptoms persist seek medical attention.
Eye Contact Remove contacts immediately. Flush with water for at least 15 minutes. If irritation persists, seek a physician.
Skin Contact Wash affected area with copious amounts of soap and water. Call a doctor if irritation develops. Completely decontaminate clothing, shoes, and leather goods before re-use or discard.
Ingestion Do not induce vomiting. Rinse mouth with water, then drink one glass of water. Contact a physician immediately.

Spill/Release Procedures Use protective gloves to avoid skin contact. Small spills: Wipe up with paper rags ans place in closed metal containers. Large spills: Absorbed by dirt, sand, or other suitable absorbents for disposal use non-flammable adsorbent. Keep area free from flame and or sparks. Do not hose spills down drains, sewers, or waterways. D-limonene may be toxic to aquatic organisms. Move leaking containers to well ventilated area. No smoking. Eliminate any source of ignition. Minimize inhalation. Use OSHA approved respiratory protection device. Caution: slippery on floor.
Waste Disposal Handle through EPA spill control plan; via land fill and/or dilution and spray field application. Incinerate or dispose in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.

Handling & Shipping Procedures Store in well-filled inert gas-purged drums not to exceed 68 F (20C) to prevent oxidant and preserve quality. Should use epoxy lined or flavor free phenolic containers.
